The goal of the assessment

The main question of the assessment was what impacts the recommendations issued by the Audit Committee in the assessment report for 2022 have had. The assessment report for 2022 covered 17 areas of assessment and included 57 recommendations. 

Conclusions

Measures had been taken on 96% of the recommendations presented in the Audit Committee’s 2022 assessment report. Of these recommendations, 75% were such that all measures under the recommendation had been taken by City divisions. There have been positive effects in 53% of the recommendations. In line with the Audit Committee’s recommendations, the City has strengthened the occupational well-being of staff in fields affected by staff shortages and promoted the availability of psychological services for young people and the access of adults to early mental health services, for example. The number of Sarastia’s payroll errors has been reduced, the process of setting objectives for the Helsinki City Group’s subsidiaries has been specified, and the participation of young people in safety matters in their area has been improved.
